Sometimes I like photos from my @ten.years.ago Instagram project so much that I want to put them somewhere in a higher resolution. January 20, 2008 was my mama’s birthday, so we went out to the farm to see her, and while we were there I took pictures, surveyed the damage from the December ice storm, saw some floofy horses and poked around the abandoned house where my dad grew up and my siblings spent their earliest years.
I’m going to be sharing a lot more publicly over on Patreon this year, so pop over and give me a follow if you want to!

Ahh, so tired the day after Halloween, always so tired. But this was extra, I had bad cramps all day and zero motivation to either take down Halloween or work on my NaNoWriMo. I hadn’t done any of my usual October prep. I hadn’t assembled a list of people and place names, I hadn’t thought about it… at all, really. I still haven’t re-read No Plot? No Problem! or made a cute graph in my bullet journal.
I’ve been depressed, since last November really, it comes and goes in waves and I’m functioning and happy fairly often now, but it’s holding me down a bit. November and December are months filled with happy things I love and memories that hurt a lot. Every single thing is about finding a balance. I’m trying super hard.
In the evening, when Shaun was home and working on studying for his test the next morning, I managed to write for a bit and got 1,147 words, which is a start.
Here’s the last sentence I wrote:
Maybe there would be a friendly young face, not a beau, but a village girl to gossip with, someone her own age so that she wouldn’t be as lonely as her friends insisted she would be.
If you’re interested in daily excerpts, favorite lines and stuff, I’ll be posting them with my daily 365 photos on my Patreon at the $1 level. <3
1147 / 50000 words. 2% done!
I started another 52 weeks set with Shaun a bit over a month ago. I’ve actually missed a week or two, but I’m not fussed. Here are the first 5 shots:
1. Ohoho! Love the lighting! – Prompto,
This was just a moment where the light was really interesting, coming in through the front door and I thought, aha, it’s time to start this new set I’ve been wanting to do.
2. I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it’s very difficult to find anyone.– by J.R.R. Tolkien
On the airplane flying to visit our bestest friends in Seattle.
4. well, I’ve been afraid of changing cos I’ve built my life around you. – , Fleetwood Mac
We went for a walk. It was almost a little too cold, but actually perfect. We saw a bunch of cats, and cast long shadows as we turned towards home. I missed another week after this because I spent the whole week finally getting back on top of things around the house after having been on vacation and then ill.
2013 was an extra fun year. I crocheted A LOT, all year long. I upgraded the power supply, graphics card and RAM in my desktop which turned my computer into a wonderful piece of work, we got passports because we road tripped all the way to Canada, via Seattle, we spent about a month in the PNW, which was a total dream, my mama painted a beautiful tree for me and I felt really creatively fulfilled all year long. The full set is here, but these are my favorites:
I started 2012 with a bit of photo project burnout, but I was still pretty addicted. I did a bunch of challenges on a month by month basis for most of the year. I also started a 52 weeks project of diptychs shot on Sunday that I called Sundae. I only did 19 weeks, whoops! It was hard to take photos on one specific day of the week, and Sundays are my laziest day, so it was doomed to fail.
Here are all 19 shots! I really love them, anyway!
