365 Self, weeks 5 & 6

week five, hair:

29. but dreams come through stone walls, light up dark rooms, or darken light ones, and their persons make their exits and their entrances as they please, and laugh at locksmiths

30. it is folly to say you know what is happening to other people. only they know, if they exist. they have their own universes of their own eyes and ears.

31. how she wanted to put away adult things and go back to seeing through a looking-glass, darkly.

32. if magic was present, it moved under the skin of the world, beneath the ability of human eyes to catch sight of it.

33. i will love you if i never see you again, and i will love you if i see you every tuesday.

34. nothing is written in the stars. not these stars, nor any others.

35. and what do the birds say? all there is to say about a massacre, things like "poo-tee-weet?"

36. and the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain thrilled me — filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before

week six, black and white:

37. but there are things inside you. I see them sometimes, hiding in your eyes.

38. one morning you might wake up and make the assumption that your bed was in the same place that it always was, even though you would have no real evidence that this was so.
